We create joyful, anarchic theatre, made by and through community.

Our work

Spatfeather is an inclusive ensemble of artists and theatre-makers. Calling on song-led performance traditions and an irreverent blend of influences, we create work that engages unheard voices and celebrates the serendipity of collaboration.

Following up on successful national and international runs of The Liberation of Colette Simple, we are in the early stages of devising inclusive new work for 2018.

Stand By Me is Spatfeather's flagship community project. It is an inclusive initiative bringing together adults with learning disabilities and the artistic community to create diverse and collaborative art works and performances.

In partnership with the University of Brighton & LAMDA Artistic Director Nathalie Carrington is currently undertaking research exploring how inclusive practice can impact theatre as a training and communal activity. Follow the latest updates on our blog.
